Detailed Description: Celestica's Hardware Platform Solutions’s Technology team is looking for experienced system architecture engineering professionals to define and build our next generation networking platforms: data center switch, router, optical transportation, etc. The successful candidate will play a key role in defining our next generation network products for key customers in the carrier and hyper scale area. The ideal candidate has a hardware design background with networking products experience in the areas of Ethernet switch, router and optical transportation, multi-gigabit interfaces, and embedded CPU subsystems. The candidate should have experience in high speed digital design, system architecture definition, specification development, key component selection. Working closely with electrical, mechanical, thermal, and SI/PI engineers to drive the architecture development and guide the architecture to implementation. Responsibilities The system architect in the organization will have a strong track record of growing and influencing others. Connect teams to one another in a spirit of collaboration and champion opportunities. + Responsible for define the new networking product concept, roadmap and product requirement in the Hardware Platform Solutions organization + Participates in and influences development of technology roadmaps + Evaluates new technologies for adoption + Understands and articulates the value creation and business proposition to teams and functional partners + Interface with suppliers, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, manufacturing, quality, tooling engineering and other development groups to ensure Proficient in all network architectures + Acts as a point of escalation for teams facing extremely complex challenges + Presents at and attends conferences and influence how to apply new technologies and concepts + Capable of coordinating cross-functional teams to resolve issues Knowledge/Skills/Competencies + Experience in network products from concept to GA development cycle + Experience collaborating with cross-functional operations teams + Experience driving front end customer discussion, solicit the requirements, etc. + Experience collaborating with different supplier partners to assembly product solution + Knowledge of embedded software and networking operating systems + Knowledge of AC/DC PI for board design + Self-starter and strategic thinker with excellent oral/written communication skills Experience + 10+ years experience in hardware design and systems development + Experience with Ethernet switching fabrics, Ethernet PHY and SerDes interfaces, embedded CPU subsystems, DDR2/DDR3/DDR4 memory, and network processors + Experience with high-speed PCB design: 10G/25G/56G/112G Typical Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering Educational Requirements may vary by Geography Travel Requirements Candidates should be able to accommodate up to 20% travel within North America and Asia. Location This is a remote position, with travel as necessary. We are open to considering candidates close to any of our US locations in Massachusetts, Pennsylvania, Minnesota, Texas, Arizona, Oregon or California as well as locations near major airports such as the Northeast, Southeast, Midwest and Pacific Coast.
