This Opportunity

WSP is currently initiating a search for a Principal Consultant for our Boston, MA office.

Be involved in projects with our Transit & Rail Revenue Management Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Your Impact

  • Support Transit & Rail NBL Team on bus and rail transit projects within a broad range of size and complexity throughout the continental United States

  • Closely collaborate with clients to identify their needs to meet their objectives on transit projects

  • Contribute to the prepration of project proposal responses for potential clients

  • Provide client interface, coordination and project updates as needed

  • Coordinate with operations, and service delivery staff on WSP bus and heavy rail transit projects.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor s degree from accredited college or university in Public Administration, Business Administration, or a related field;

  • 12+ years of experience in public transit bus and heavy rail operations;

  • Experience and working knowledge of Federal Transportation Adminsistration (FTA) regulatory requirements and guidance for bus and rail transit operations

  • Good verbal and written communication skills;

  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of applications.

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision making skills;

  • Demonstrated ability to meet schedules and multi-tasks across multiple projects

  • Proven experience/performance having responsibility and accountability for ensuring projects produce required results specified by scope, milestones, quality and budget
