MassHealth\'s PCA program provides funds for people with disabilities (consumer-employer or consumer) to manage one or more PCAs. What is a PCA? PCAs are hired to assist consumers with home and personal care tasks. PCAs help consumers live in their homes by providing support with: - Walking -Transferring in and out of chairs and beds - Toileting - Bathing and dressing - Meal Preparation - Housekeeping - Shopping Who is the PCA manager? The consumer is the PCA\'s manager. They make the PCA\'s schedule and help train the PCA. Who can work as a PCA? You can work as a PCA if: - You are allowed to work in the US - You can understand and follow the consumer\'s directions You will need to complete a paid, 4-hour PCA New Hire Orientation training after you are hired.
