Boston University Part-Time Lecturer, Legal Ethics Externships Seminar and Field Placement, School of Law, Clinical and Experiential Programs in BOSTON, Massachusetts

Boston University School of Law is hiring a part-time lecturer to teach the Legal Ethics Externship Seminar. Teaching the course will begin in Fall 2024. The instructor will have the freedom to further develop and teach in the one semester seminar. The goal of this course is to provide students with an understanding of professional responsibility and ethics within the practice of law, while incorporating the reflective practice pedagogy of legal externship teaching. Students will be at a variety of placements and should be able to connect their learning of professional responsibility and ethics to their placement practice.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate for this position will have prior teaching experience, experience in both the public and private sectors, experience mentoring and supervising students, and be familiar with the Rules of Professional Responsibility and the work of the Board of Bar Overseers.
