Length: 2+ months (Part-Time)

Job Description:

Our client is engaged in the development of open-source modeling software focused on building energy management, including heating, cooling, and automation systems. As part of a graduate program research project, we are seeking a skilled consultant with expertise in Facilities Management and specialized knowledge in Niagara N4 Supervisor software. This role offers the opportunity to work remotely in a dynamic environment, contributing to both simulation and real-world scenarios.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities (but not limited to):

  • Commission and program a new BAS (Building Automation System) using Niagara N4 Supervisor.

  • Understand and utilize wire sheets and system configurations to optimize system functionality.

  • Collaborate with the project team to integrate software logic for building energy management, including temperature control and scheduling (i.e., programming temperature settings for different times of day).

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in Facilities Management with expertise in building automation systems.

  • In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Niagara N4 Supervisor software.

  • Familiarity with wiring systems and ability to interpret wiring diagrams.

  • Strong capability in system configuration and optimization.

  • Ability to work independently and remotely, with a commitment to meeting project timelines.

  • Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a diverse team.

  • Background in engineering, computer science, or a related field is strongly preferred.

  • Experience in research or academic environments, particularly in energy management or related fields is preferred.
