Robert Half Network Architect in Boston, Massachusetts

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for a Network Architect in Boston, Massachusetts. This role is crucial in our dynamic technology industry, where you will be an individual contributor in a hands-on role. You will be collaborating with our existing networking team, ensuring the smooth running of our day-to-day operations and assisting in larger initiatives like data center migrations.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and support L7 Firewalls including Palo Alto and Fortigate.

• Ensure efficient routing and switching in our data center environment.

• Utilize your expertise in Juniper Networks, including routers and switches.

• Conduct monitoring and implement automation basics to improve the efficiency and reliability of our network.

• Contribute to the migration of our data center to a new location.

• Leverage your background in Enterprise SAAS to further enhance our operations.

• Utilize F5 Networks to optimize our network's performance and resilience.

• Support the team in the day-to-day responsibilities to ensure the network's seamless operation.

• Participate in bigger initiatives and projects when necessary.

• Continually update your knowledge and stay abreast of the latest industry developments. Requirements • Proficient in Juniper systems, including Juniper Networks, Juniper Routers, and Juniper Switches

• Familiarity with Palo Alto Firewall and FortiGate systems

• Expertise in Network Monitoring Tools and Automation

• Strong understanding of Network Routing, Routing Protocol, and Switching Protocols

• Experience with F5 Networks

• Knowledge of Enterprise SaaS and Data Center Environment

• Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members and clients

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively

• Ability to stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field is preferred

• Relevant professional certifications would be advantageous
