Job Summary The Medical Records Coordinator will schedule and maintain schedules and all associated records of the various exams conducted by the clinic including but not limited to, pre-employment, return to work, fitness for duty, biannual, and Commercial Driver?s License physicals. Handle all front desk activities from check in to sign-out. Duties & Responsibilities Maintain and update medical records for employees and pre-employment candidates. Greet and assist applicants and employees entering the clinic. Coordinate with area supervisors the scheduling of employees for necessary physicals. Coordinate requests for additional physical slots. Ensure employee/applicant confidentiality. Inventory control of clinic supplies and cost containment. Manage accounts payable for clinic purchasing. Answer the telephone and greet visitors for the clinic. Perform general clerical duties such as faxing, data entry and filing. Respond to each inquiry, whether from a customer, vendor, or co-worker in a courteous and professional manner consistent with the Authority\'s customer service quality standard. Adhere to the rules, regulations, collective bargaining agreements (if applicable) and policies of the Authority including the EEO, Anti-Discrimination and Anti-Harassment and Anti-Retaliation policies. Perform all other duties and projects that may be assigned Minimum Requirements & Qualifications A high school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) from an accredited institution with the ability to comprehend, communicate and respond to instructions, orders, signs, notices, inquiries, etc. in English. Five (5) year of experience in a medical office environment where the scheduling of patients or visitors for physicals and other appointments was a primary responsibility. Ability to work flexible shifts, some Saturday work will be required. Effective organizational and analytical skills. Working knowledge of Word, Outlook, Excel, Database or PowerPoint applications. The ability to pass: the MBTA\'s Microsoft Office Professional typing test for MS Word. Demonstrated knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Direct experience in inventory control of clinic supplies and cost containment. Substitutions Include None Preferred Experience and Skills A Medical Records certification An associate?s degree from an accredited institution Two (2) additional years of experience scheduling patients or visitors for physicals or other appointments.
