North Coast Seafoods Marketing Specialist in Boston, Massachusetts

We are seeking a proactive, creative, and driven Marketing Specialist to join our team. This versatile role will involve managing our social media channels and website, developing engaging content, analyzing performance metrics, and supporting a variety of marketing campaigns targeted at restaurant and foodservice customers, retail (grocery) customers, and end consumers. You'll also be responsible creating sales and marketing materials, managing email marketing program, overseeing digital advertising efforts, and supporting public relations initiatives.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform a wide range of tasks and duties that are essential to the smooth operation and success of the team, ensuring that all processes are executed efficiently and effectively.

  • Collaborate closely with colleagues and stakeholders to support various projects, contributing your expertise and insights to achieve shared goals and objectives.

  • Maintain organized records and documentation, ensuring easy access to critical information and facilitating informed decision-making across the organization.

  • Participate in regular meetings and discussions, sharing updates on your work, proposing innovative solutions, and providing feedback to improve processes and outcomes.

  • Adapt to changing priorities and responsibilities as necessary, demonstrating flexibility and a proactive approach in addressing new challenges that arise in the workplace.

  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices, continually seeking opportunities for professional development and growth to enhance your skills and contribute more effectively to the team.

  • Develop and set strategic goals aimed at driving sales growth across retail, club, and foodservice channels, with the autonomy to independently shape and execute initiatives.

  • Manage social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, TikTok), crafting monthly content calendars and scheduling posts that align with broader brand and marketing strategies.

  • Track, analyze, and report social media performance insights, using data to refine and optimize campaigns.

  • Support development and execution of targeted marketing campaigns for restaurant and retail customers.

  • Content Creation (marketing and sales material, social media assets) for both internal use and customer use including photography, videography, and editing.

  • Create internal sales and training material to support overall business.

  • Manage and grow email marketing program, targeting both business to business (B2B) and direct to consumer (D2C) audiences.

  • Assist in managing digital advertising campaigns across platforms such as Meta, LinkedIn, and Instacart aligning with overall business goals.

  • Support Public Relations strategy, including press release schedules and media outreach.

  • Support the promotion, planning, and execution of in-person events that showcase our seafood products.

  • Assist with graphic design and packaging development to align with brand identity.

  • Engage with industry partners to strengthen brand presence and promote seafood products across all sales channels.

Requirements

  • BA in marketing or a related field

  • 1+ years’ experience managing business or entrepreneurial social media account(s)

  • Interest or background in the food industry is a plus

  • Video editing experience is a plus

  • Familiarity with the business applications of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, X, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)

  • Proficient in analyzing social media metrics and translating data into actionable steps to improve campaign performance

  • Proactive thinker, exceptional logic reasoning and problem-solving skill set

  • Ability to understand and improve performance, efficiency and product yield

  • Impeccable written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task, with strong-time management skills

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Receptive to giving and receiving constructive feedback

  • Basic graphic design experience

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and other social media analytical tools a plus

  • Experience with Adobe Suite preferred (Premiere Pro, Lightroom, Photoshop, etc.)

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Provide relevant portfolio samples (edited photos and/or videos, social posts, blogs, etc.).

  • Provide analytics on the success of social media accounts you manage.
