Essential Functions

  • Sell printer maintenance/service agreements to current and new customers

  • Partner with the territory equipment account executive to generate leads and grow business

  • Cleary articulate, both internally and externally, the dynamics of the Managed Print Services market and what is driving businesses/partners to move towards the MPS model

  • Use the appropriate tools to assess the customer environment

  • Use the appropriate tools to design an MPS solution, including floor mapping

  • Analyze and evaluate customers’ print requirements and costs

  • Develop compelling value propositions describing the customer benefits by role (e.g., Finance, IT) of the MPS solution in terms of consistency and control, improved services, managing costs and managing compliance.

  • Position Xerox effectively against competitive offerings

  • Take the lead in presenting proposed MPS solution to customers and influencing buy decisions

  • Develop working relationships with key players value chain partners and the various application teams that will be used in the Implementation and Manage phases of the MPS sales cycle

  • Provide a high level of customer service by following through to completion on any issues uncovered in a customer’s account

  • Meet and exceed sales activity metrics, including sales call, teleprospecting, and cold calling

  • Enter sales activity daily in database; updating contact information

  • Ensure monthly quota is met for the assigned territory

  • Attend pertinent professional courses, seminars, and workshops to maintain the highest level of professional competence

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate a commitment to organizational initiatives through words and actions

  • Set a proper example for direct reports to follow

  • Orient new direct reports concerning position responsibilities, policy and procedures, work rules

  • Establish performance goals and standards for each direct report; communicate them and gain agreement

  • Hold performance planning discussions to discuss achievements and improvements needed

  • Train, coach, and develop staff to improve current performance and to prepare for additional responsibilities

  • Evaluate the performance of direct reports and conduct performance reviews to discuss present and past performance

  • Administer corrective disciplinary action according to procedures

  • Determine significant changes in responsibilities and major duties of direct reports by reviewing their job descriptions on a regular basis; update job descriptions with HR when appropriate

  • Advise superiors and direct reports of developments that impact job duties

  • Analyze workload and personnel needs of department; recommend changes in staff level

  • Approve timesheets

  • Approve/Decline time off (PTO) requests
