Robert Half Legal Secretary in Boston, Massachusetts

Description We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Legal Secretary located in Boston, Massachusetts. The role focuses on corporate governance and compliance in the legal industry. As a Legal Secretary, you will be involved in assisting board members, coordinating board meetings, and setting up procedures and policies.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in corporate governance activities, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

• Aid in the development and implementation of internal policies and procedures.

• Facilitate board meetings, including planning, scheduling, and executing.

• Support the onboarding process for new directors, providing necessary guidance and resources.

• Foster relationships with board members, acting as a point of contact for queries and concerns.

• Utilize legal software such as Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and CompuLaw to improve efficiency and accuracy of work.

• Handle billing functions and calendar management, ensuring smooth operation of the board's activities.

• Engage in client relations, promoting a positive image of the corporate entity.

• Participate in court proceedings as necessary, providing support to board members.

• Carry out corporate secretarial functions, including record-keeping and correspondence. Requirements • Proficient in Aderant, Adobe Acrobat, and Automated City Register Information System (ACRIS)

• Experience with Case Management Software and CompuLaw

• Ability to handle Billing Functions

• Skilled in Calendar Management

• Strong Client Relations skills

• Familiarity with Consumer Electronics

• Understanding of Court Proceedings

• Experience in Corporate Secretarial Function

• Experience as a Corporate ParaLegal

• Knowledge of Compliance

• Ability to manage high volume case load

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment

• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

• Strong multitasking skills and ability to meet deadlines

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think critically

• High level of professionalism and ethical standards.
