Job Summary

As the Learning and Talent Development Lead, you will lead and manage a team of instructional designers, facilitators, and learning experience professionals to provide development solutions to the Black & Veatch business. Your insights will shape learning & development (L&D) strategy and solutions and will upskill and reskill our workforce to deliver for the future.

Key Responsibilities

Consult with Global HR Centers of Excellence, Global HR Partners and senior business leaders to:

  • Identify and prioritize learning needs for the business

  • Use business needs and insights to shape global L&D strategy and roadmap

  • Ensure L&D strategy alignment with the business and HR strategy, including talent plans

  • Develop global solutions and adapt these where needed to meet local needs

  • Develop on-demand experiences, programs and resources, recommend external options, or develop specific L&D initiatives where appropriate

  • Measure learning and demonstrate return on investment and budget

Build awareness and education of the L&D strategy, portfolio and practices within Global HR and HR Partners to:

  • Make informed plans aligned to the strategy, portfolio and practices

  • Drive engagement with, as well as awareness and usage of, L&D solutions

Manage a team of instructional designers, facilitators and subject matter experts to:

  • Plan and execute effective launch and delivery of L&D programs and learning experience platform solutions

  • Deliver L&D programs and solutions

  • Bring best in class sustainable approaches to ensure high impact learning experiences - whether in person or virtual

  • Gather data and feedback; generating insights to improve the learner experience and share that feedback with the global L&D teams

  • Create experiences, programs, tools, and resources that meet the needs of the business

  • Apply design thinking principles to develop human-centered learning solution

Management Responsibilities

Supervises work of others. Responsible for hiring, discipline, and pay administration of their subordinates.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years related experience

  • Experience in pedagogy, practices & trends in adult learning delivery & partnership

  • Ability to communicate and influence at senior leadership levels

  • Experience in a broader HR/Talent role

  • Facilitation experience – both face to face and virtual to all levels within an organization

  • Learning design experience in creating L&D solutions for audiences of all levels

Minimum Qualifications

10+ years progressive related experience.

Experience including Organization Development, Organization Effectiveness, Human Resources, Training and Development and/or consulting in a large international corporate environment, preferred.
