JOB OVERVIEW

The Security Analytics Team is responsible for providing advanced quantitative tools such as analytic calculators for different asset types, cash flow engines, liquidity evaluation frameworks to Wellington’s portfolio management and research teams. Members of the team play critical roles in firm’s success by providing proprietary technology solutions, which enable complex investment decision-making.

This Lead Systems Analyst role will be responsible for delivering solutions that aid with advancing and sustaining our Analytics technology platforms. This position requires strong analytic skills; strong communication skills; high attention to details; deep understanding of the math behind fixed income analytics and derivatives; as well as the ability to cultivate relationships with stakeholders to solve complex problems. The primary responsibilities would include the day-to-day reviewing/resolving the inquiries about the analytics variations; leading the project by providing detailed requirements for technologist to implement while collaborating with quant analysts and other business partners. Meanwhile this role has opportunities to learn and deepen the knowledge on the advanced modeling and valuations of the instruments by working closely with quant analysts.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a bridge between technologists and quant analysts to implement the advanced quantitative analytics solutions

  • Ensure quality of product by enforcing high standards in testing/validation/review/sign off

  • Act as an analytics domain expertise for support issues that require detailed analysis

  • Partner closely with investment and research teams to understand business needs and to create effective technical solutions

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of experience within financial services

  • Hands-on experience on analytics for fixed income instruments and derivatives

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with high attention to detail

  • High level understanding of the technology to ensure productive collaboration with technologists

  • Experience working directly with business partners to understand their needs and deliver solutions that meet those needs

  • Hands-on knowledge of SQL and data model design

  • Experience supporting critical production applications

  • Self-motivated and willing to work in an energetic, fast paced, result orientated team environment

  • A strong team player, with the adequate interpersonal skills to work in collaboration across teams, groups, regions, and functions

Our approach to compensation considers all aspects of total compensation; all employees are eligible to receive salary, variable compensation, and benefits. The base salary range for this position is:

USD 100,000 - 225,000

This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered when making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; role; skills and experience; certifications; and education. This range is an estimate, and further details on salary and total compensation aspects will be shared with candidates during the recruitment process.

Base salary is only one component of Wellington’s total compensation approach. Other rewards may include a discretionary Corporate Bonus and/ or Incentives, if eligible.
