About this Role
The FRFS business line is seeking a highly experience Lead Data Quality Engineer to join our QE organization. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Data Platform team to ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable data pipelines. As the first hire for this position, you will have the unique opportunity to share and implement frameworks, tools and best practices for data quality
While your primary focus will be on data quality, being part of QE organization means you will also have chance to contribute to other exciting quality engineering initiatives in the future
Responsibilities
Collaborate with leadership team to define and execute a data testing strategy and plan
Design and implementing data validation framework
Partner with architects and developers to review architecture for testability and data quality
Provide coaching and technical guidance to junior data quality engineers
Act as a primary advocate and subject matter expert in data quality and driving awareness across cross-functional teams
Evaluate data testing tools and frameworks
Define and enforce testing and automation standards, process and metrics
Collect metrics to measure test progress and quality outcomes
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Data Science or related field or equivalent experience
This role requires 5 or more years of years in test automation focused on data quality and building test automation framework
Proficient in Python
3-5+ years of experience with a modern data stack (Object stores like S3, Spark, Airflow, Lakehouse architectures, real-time databases, Glue, Athena, Sagemaker, Jupyter Notebook)
3-5+ years of experience with automated test tools (Great Expectations, Lambda test, Selenium, Cucumber, PyTest, Cypress)
Understanding of the automation strategies & techniques available for testing data, application, and CI/CD infrastructure
Experience with data engineering including knowledge of Big Data ecosystem preferred
Strong desire and motivation to take up the potential challenges and opportunities as part of this exciting large and complex program with system wide visibility

Location
Hybrid, on-site requirement will be determined by hiring district.
The selected candidate’s job title and associated pay range will be determined by the employing district and will continue to be subject to the employing district’s people policies and practices (i.e., remote/hybrid work posture, etc.)

Screening:

This position has additional screening requirements due to the information accessed while performing the job
