Weston & Sampson Landscape Designer II in Boston, Massachusetts
Weston & Sampson is seeking a highly motivated Landscape Designer with at least 2 years of experience in our Boston, MA office. Our landscape architectural team leverages the support of a multi-disciplinary firm committed to providing great landscape architectural design services.
What you’ll do:
Our work focuses on the development of award-winning parks, sports + recreation facilities, K-12 and higher education campuses, multi-use trail systems, streetscapes and more!
Focused on providing excellent client service and possess a highly collaborative disposition that expands the capacity of our team-oriented studio operation .
Learn about the design process from conceptual design through permitting and construction
Prepare designs, specifications, or estimates for landscape projects.
Design graphic representations or drawings of proposed plans.
Creating and updating CAD plans at the direction of project manager
Setting up construction sets in AutoCAD
Updating details in CAD at the direction of project manager
Creating and updating 3D models at the direction of project manager
What you will also bring:
Bachelor’s degree in Architecture or Landscape Architecture or related fields is required (willing to accept an equivalent foreign education)
Experience in delivering high quality studies and reports, illustrative plans, perspectives, and construction documents
Operating knowledge of AutoCAD and digital rendering software including Adobe Illustrator.
Strong design, computer, and technical skills as well as the ability and desire to work on complex, multidisciplinary projects
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Working from home up to two days per week is allowed.
