Schedule: Full Time (40 hrs) Preferred, Part Time Available with Nights and Weekends Required
Compensation: $24/hour
Summary of Position:
The Night Shift Brewing Beer Garden Keyholder is someone who thrives on challenge and continually looks for opportunities to learn. This is a seasonal position which is scheduled to run May - October. We’re always looking to add permanent staff to our team, and this is a great way to gain exposure for future positions! Shifts regularly start in Everett - must be able to get to the Everett Taproom to begin your shift!
What You'll Do:
Create an exceptional experience for Beer Garden guests
Act as Keyholder, but also member of the operational team, doing whatever is needed to ensure the shift runs smoothly (from bartending to door and support duties and more)
Responsible for monitoring training and development of new employees on shift
Manage operations with passion, integrity, and knowledge while promoting the culture and values of Night Shift Brewing
Lead each shift by delegating duties, assigning tasks, and following up with all team members to ensure duties are completed; provide hands-on assistance as required
Consistently review operations and staff to identify any problems, concerns, and opportunities for improvement
Provide coaching and feedback to staff and assess performance on an ongoing basis
Follow inventory control procedures to reduce product loss
Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the Beer Gardens
Consistently monitor product and labor costs to remain within goals
Solicit guest feedback to understand the needs and wants of customers
Follow Night Shift Brewing’s policies and procedures, including those for cash handling and safety/security
Conduct staff and daily pre-shift meetings
Other duties as required
Education & Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
TIPS and/or Serv-Safe Certified & Crowd Manager Certified (can be trained after hire)
CPR & First Aid Certified (preferred)
Brewery experience a plus
Minimum 2 years hospitality experience; 1 year management or lead position preferred
Must have valid driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle to assist in moving product between locations as needed
Must be 21
- Must be vaccinated against COVID-19 or be able to provide documentation to secure a religious or medical exemption
Other Requirements:
History of Night Shift Brewing
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Knowledge of providing customer and personal service.
Ability to use POS system
Ability to use word processing and spreadsheet software
Strong work ethic and passion for leadership
Exercise discretion in handling and disseminating financial and non-financial information
Ability to multitask while being flexible to adjust to sudden changes
Physical Requirements:
The work for this position is performed outside with minimal shelter from the elements. Candidates must be able to, with or without reasonable accommodation:
Stand for extended periods of time
Move kegs and other beer garden equipment as needed
Lift 50 lbs, push/pull up to 175
Compensation:
Keyholders will earn $24 per hour while acting in a lead capacity; may also serve as bartenders which would be $6.75 plus tips (minimum $15/hr).
