Aerotek Junior Derivatives Analyst in BOSTON, Massachusetts
Premium financial services firm out of Boston, MA is seeking a Derivatives Analyst ASAP. Great opportunity for candidates looking to grow career in banking/financial services in an analytical role within a growing team and strong company culture.Description:
Working with various internal teams such as Fund accounting/NAV, trade processing, prematching, settlements, cash processing, account opening and asset servicing to process transactions and resolve any exceptions on a timely manner.
Perform reconciliations on trade confirmations for swaps and other OTC derivative products
Confirm trade tickets and follow up with client and/or internal teams by specific deadlines
Respond to and resolve client inquiries in a timely manner.
Perform root cause analysis for their respective clients to increase STP and reduce client inquiries.
Establish and maintain relationships with operations & middle office contacts at clients.
Partner with client service teams to help change client behavior where required to remove manual processes.
Partner with technology strategy team to help identify internal and external facing technology improvement opportunities.
Ensure all day to day queries dealt with within required SLAs and escalate issues to the team leader.
High level of client service focus.
Provide operations subject matter expertise and value added services to clients where required.
Strong time management skills required to meet the internal and external deadlines/cutoffs.
Meeting with clients in person along with client service.
BS Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or relevant
1-2 years of operations experience aligned to derivatives - OTC derivatives or swaps experience
Knowledge or experience within mutual funds
Advanced MS Excel skills - pivot tables and vlookups
Ability to work independently; all work is being done remotely, so must feel comfortable with minimal training
Strong organization/time mgmt skills - this is a very fast paced job with lots of moving parts
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and adept at communicating with all levels of the business
