Orders, stocks and maintains all materials in department's inventory system including items stored on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis. Develops and maintains storage cart profiles and associated labeling. Maintains an organized and sanitary lab area including storerooms, cabinets (in and out of the procedural suites) and work areas. Handle adjustments with vendors involving short shipments, replacement of defective items or return of incorrectly ordered merchandise. Monitors inventory par levels to ensure lean purchasing and reduction of waste and expired items. Collaborate with Receiving and Accounts Payable to settle issues. Resolve pricing disputes when necessary. Manage the East campus IR inventory as well as work alongside the IR materials management staff.

Job Description:

Maintains department policies and procedures as they pertain to Pathology Inventory Management. Maintains stock levels through inventory and ordering procedures as determined by Clinical Managers. Reviews incoming product requisitions for completeness and accuracy; ensures appropriate approval signatures. Handles all pulling of material from Pathology storeroom for delivery to lab work stations. Verifies all materials received to invoice/packing slip. Reports all discrepancies to management. Maintains all par level paperwork to ensure accurate level of inventory. Maintains organized storeroom area and lab area through daily inventory checks and continued elimination of unneeded materials in lab areas. Inputs and tracks order processing through ESI software. Rotates stock, maintains integrity of lot numbers, arranges for palettes and other debris to be removed, and keeps managers up to date with back orders. Other duties as assigned by management.
