Our client is a globally recognized, worldwide organization with an estimated $1.4B worth, encompassing a complex and multifaceted structure. The person in this incredibly essential role will report to the Internal Audit and Tax Lead, being a part of our clients Accounting Department.

The role involves performing work in our tax, compliance, and internal audit area and providing external audit support as needed.

Key responsibilities:

• Executes planned internal audits to assess and improve controls, safeguards, and performance.

• Upholds high standards regarding attribute testing and documentation.

• Emphasizes professional skepticism throughout all audit phases.

• Provides assistance with external audit documentation related to tax and compliance area as needed.

• Compiles information for unrelated business income (UBI) and other reportable items, coordinating with supervisors for timely reporting.

• Performs government compliance work and supports the preparation of filings and reporting.

• Liaises with government tax agencies on questions and issues.

• Conducts and supports compliance work required for banking relationships.

• Collects sales tax information and prepares returns.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• BS degree in accounting, business administration, or finance (preferred)

• An advanced accounting degree or a (CPA) (preferred)

• Experience in government-related filings, compliance, and accounting work a must!!!!

• Previous experience executing internal audit plans (preferred)

• Accounting/Audit and general tax-related knowledge

Work Schedule: Hybrid model with work from home flexibility - in office Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday!
