RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Hyperion Essbase Administrator will be responsible for the day-to-day administration/management of multiple Oracle/Hyperion EPM applications focusing on Essbase and Reporting. This position will coordinate and be responsible for master data management, data integration, security, end user assistance, IT collaboration, and ad hoc projects. The Annual Operating Plan (AOP) activities within the system will be heavily influenced by this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the full project lifecycle support for the Global Essbase applications

  • Day-to-day application administration, including: Forecasting and Annual Op Plan support; Master data setup; Security/Access design and management

  • Identify, design, develop, and implement fixes and improvements to existing production application. Provide technical expertise during requirements gathering and analysis, document technical designs and support manuals, and drive test and deployment processes.

  • Make solution decisions with the goal of optimizing end user experience and overall solution performance.

  • Develop training materials and conduct training with new users, owning the coordination of learning delivery and logistics

  • Coordinate with Corporate FP&A on budget and forecast calendars, ensuring that the application accurately supports the extended user community needs.

  • Identify and drive process improvements, working closely with partners within Corporate FP&A.

  • Proactive communication with Corporate and Divisional Finance teams

  • Perform and support analysis and managerial reporting activities

  • Participate in initiatives such as disaster recovery testing, infrastructure upgrades, corporate security projects, etc.

Minimum Requirements/ Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited higher learning program required. Majors in accounting, finance, and/or management information systems or applicable experience preferred

  • 3-5 supporting Financial Systems comparable to or including Hyperion products

  • Understanding of one or more of the following technologies: Hyperion Financial Reporting, Calc Manager, SmartView, Essbase Studio, Hyperion Planning, Oracle Data Integrator (ODI), Data Relationship Manager (DRM), or Enterprise Data Management Cloud Service (EDMCS)

  • Understanding of consolidation and forecasting/budgeting processes in a large global manufacturer, preferably a publicly traded company

  • Experience in supporting global customers and large end user community base

  • Strong business writing / interpersonal skills

  • Familiarity with business processes, and system design

  • Familiarity with Linux based operating systems and shell scripting preferred
