The mission of the Center for Health Information and Analysis (CHIA) is to monitor the Massachusetts health care system and to provide reliable information and meaningful analysis for those seeking to improve health care quality, affordability, access, and outcomes.
The Center for Health Information and Analysis seeks a part-time contract employee with expertise in infection control and occupational health to serve as a Health and Safety Specialist providing expert guidance and resources to CHIA’s Leadership Team in making decisions related to office space health, safety and office reopening.
Specifically the Health and Safety Specialist will:
Provide expert health and science guidance and resources to CHIA’s Leadership team in making decisions related to office space health, safety and re-opening.
Serve as a subject matter expert related COVID19 as it relates to the office environment synthesizing information from the CDC and State among other resources to make recommendations on best practices for the CHIA offices.
Evaluate CHIA’s office space and identify evidence-based best practices for controlling and minimizing the spread of illness in the office.
Assist in creating a COVID-19 workplace health and safety plan, and advise in approaches to monitoring for compliance.
Assist in the review, development and drafting of policies and procedures to support the health and safety of employees.
Assist with developing and facilitating a Return to Office Health and Safety Training for COVID-19.
Preferred Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have/be:
Advanced degree in epidemiology, medicine, occupational health or related field.
Demonstrated expertise in occupational health and infection control.
Demonstrated ability to synthesize and interpret complex information and to make actionable recommendations.
Ability to communicate effectively and establish rapport with others.
This position will remain open until filled but preference will be given to candidates who apply within 14 days. Compensation will be commensurate with experience the anticipated hourly rate range is $50.00 to $150.00 hour. The position allows for remote work, but occasional in-office work will be necessary.
