PwC's Asset Management (AM) Advisory Group provides executive management and key decision makers with insights and advice on their most critical business challenges. Focusing on performance improvement related engagements, we work with our clients to assess their business and operating models. At the very core, our primary objective is to help asset and wealth managers to address the key business and operational challenges impacting their financial performance and competitive position.

Demonstrates extensive abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team leader by assisting engagement leaders with research, analytics, project management, and delivery including:

  • Assisting competency leadership with practice development activities (e.g. development of training material, conference speeches, industry research, point of view publications, etc.);

  • Assisting in client proposals;

  • Staying abreast of current business and industry trends;

  • Technical capabilities and professional knowledge;

  • Remaining current on new developments in PwC’s advisory service capabilities; and,

  • Possessing solid business acumen.

Demonstrates proven extensive ability to deliver significant business results and strategic insights through the following skills:

  • Leading project work streams, emphasizing the ability to build relationships with team members and also work autonomously with minimal direction and oversight;

  • Communicating in written and verbal formats to various audiences, including senior business leadership, with the effective use of compelling visuals and a structured storyline;

  • Conducting and managing a broad range of quantitative and qualitative research;

  • Developing financial models based on discounted cash flow (e.g., NPV);

  • Developing models to estimate market and segment sizes;

  • Analyzing financial statements (e.g., balance sheet, income statement and cash flow) basic financial ratios (e.g., ROIC, ROE, ROA, etc.)

  • Understanding of basic managerial accounting concepts, including activity-based costing, contribution margin and their potential linkage to performance measurement;

  • Understanding of strategy frameworks;

  • Utilizing structured thinking and the ability to develop storylines, including insights and recommendations;

  • Structuring and conducting meetings and/or interviews with client counterparts;

  • Usingindustry background and experience to apply specific insights; and,

  • Managing complex project work streams to a successful conclusion;

Demonstrates extensive-level, knowledge and/or success with managing the identification and addressing of client needs including:

  • Trends and themes in the global asset management industry;

  • Asset class and investment product characteristics, (e.g., credit, private equity, infrastructure, real estate);

  • Product vehicles (e.g. private equity, hedge funds, mutual funds, ETFs, etc.);

  • Interdependencies between key industry stakeholders (e.g. fund managers, intermediaries, investors);

  • Roles and responsibilities of functions across the asset management value chain; and,

  • Digital solutions utilized by the industry.

The salary range for this position is: $100,000 - $232,000, plus individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. For roles that are based in Maryland, this is the listed salary range for this position. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws.
