Maintain a system of controls to safeguard company assets and ensure data integrity and timeliness of accurate financial reporting

HqO is seeking a full-time Finance Operations Analyst to work in our Boston office. This hands-on role will collaborate across all departments of HqO and will have significant learning & advancement opportunities within the department. We’re looking for someone who identifies and analyzes problems and distinguishes between relevant and irrelevant information. This person will practice good business judgment when making decisions and will consider the relevance/impact of each decision on the business.


  • Continually develop and maintain data infrastructure and systems that the revenue teams rely on (CRM, business intelligence, product analytics, accounting & reporting ERP, and associated applications)

  • Complete data audits, root-cause analysis, and implement action plans to address data integrity or inefficiency issues

  • Extract and maintain data from multiple sources, such as contracts, order forms and internal communications

  • Assist Finance and Accounting in developing and enriching new processes with an eye for data strategy and insights

  • Assist in promoting seamless communication and operations between multiple departments as it relates to prospecting and client growth

  • Triage incoming operations requests from a diverse range of stakeholders across our go-to-market teams

  • Assist in developing client, executive, and board presentations

  • Create sales orders in NetSuite (accounting ERP) to ensure accurate billing and revenue recognition

  • Identify process improvements within our sales cycle to better align Engineering needs/timing with contracted delivery requirements


  • 1-3 years in finance, analytics, operations, or strategy function in a high-growth organization

  • Proven experience configuring and maintaining product analytics infrastructure

  • Demonstrated experience with Salesforce administration, Business Intelligence systems, Excel, and SQL

  • Have a get-stuff-done attitude to drive quick incremental value across the organization

  • Familiarity with database management and reporting best practices

  • Familiarity with accounting and reporting ERP systems

  • Understanding of revenue recognition requirements and policy

  • Superior project management and business analysis skills are a must

  • Great verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with diverse groups, including senior management, sales, finance, and engineering

  • Entrepreneurial, with the ability to ask the “what-if” questions, operationalize experiments and quickly test and fail

  • Demonstration of an “ownership mentality”, with a passion for delivering on commitments and owning results
