The Protected Communication Systems (PCS) group is seeking an experienced Finance Manager, to support a subprogram consisting of multiple projects within the portfolio. This position requires an individual who possesses overall business knowledge and is able to support frequent financial reviews with management, as well as be comfortable interfacing with Program Managers, Lead Engineers, and other cross functional organizations such as Contracts, Accounting, Supply Chain, and all levels of leadership.
What You Will Do
Oversee a team of analysts with the primary responsibility of working closely with the program teams to influence all financial aspects of the programs including: financial forecasting and reporting, Earned Value Management and compliance, Estimates at Completion (EACs), proposal support, cash management, etc
Develop talent within the direct-reporting team. This will include: training early-career analysts in tools, processes, and general business acumen and mentoring advanced analysts in career next-steps and opportunities within their current role to expand their knowledge and skillsets for the future.
Responsible for the Financial Forecasting of a Sub-Program within the PCS portfolio including assistance in preparation of monthly Latest Estimate of Bookings/Sales/Profit/Cash, monthly Short-Range Outlook (SRO), the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and Strategic Financial Plan (SFP).
Communicate with multiple levels of management. Additionally, the role will need to effectively interact with multiple layers within the organization and make recommendations for appropriate solutions.
An integrated part of a fast-paced finance team where strategic thinking, multitasking and individual initiative are key requirements.
Provide support for ad hoc data reporting as well as participating in senior level projects and product-line initiatives.
Qualifications You Must Have
Must have a minimum of 8+ years professional experience in Program Controls with data analysis, reporting and/or process improvement in the aerospace and defense industry
Experience of applied EVMS principles, including Raytheon EVMS Certification
Must have experience with Microsoft Excel functions (Pivot Tables, Lookups, and relatable digital tools (SAP APEX) and the Microsoft Office Suite of tools
Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements
Qualifications We Prefer
Proficient in APEX EV (SAP) and working knowledge of the SAP functions.
Experience with PMX Tool systems
Supervisory experience
Analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills
Capability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
Understanding of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
Financial controls experience relative to multiple contract type
Experience with Raytheon financial and accounting policies and procedures; Estimate at Completes (EACs) and EDIT+; and experience with RPlan or other financial forecasting tools
Experience with external reporting, and customer interactions (IPMR, CFSR)

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
