Manulife Executive Assistant in Boston, Massachusetts

The opportunity

The Executive Assistant will work with a dynamic, collaborative group of attorneys and paralegal, assisting with client support for the business teams, maintaining calendar for the Deputy GC, Chief Counsel and other attorneys, maintain proficiency with all Microsoft updates and applications used by the team, assisting with the bi-weekly team meetings and agendas, and drafting email responses to various internal business partners for the team among other support work.

Responsibilities

  • Handles administrative tasks as assigned by manager to support area of focus.

  • Types and produces reports, letters, graphics and other documents. Handles routine correspondence as directed.

  • May independently compose documents based on verbal direction and /or knowledge of company policy and procedures.

  • Sets up and maintains filing system for assigned department, including confidential data and ensures records are accurate and up-to-date.

  • Handles administrative projects as assigned by manager and ensures the accurate and timely completion of tasks.

  • Projects may include research, correspondence and/or other work of the department.

  • Makes travel arrangements for department staff and processes related expenses

The Executive Assistant will report to the Deputy GC, Chief Counsel and will work with the team of attorneys and paralegal, as well as coordinate with other assistants and attorneys within the Law Department as needed. The support of the Executive Assistant will assist the attorneys in the day to day support of the business clients and overall goals of the company in terms of growth and supporting our customers.

What we are looking for

  • Secretarial diploma

  • 5 to 7 years secretarial experience with 1 – 3 years of related experience

  • Proficiency with all MS Office Competencies

  • Activity Coordination

  • Troubleshooting/Technical Support

Salary range is expected to be between

$37,575.00 USD - $62,625.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training. Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance.
