ERP Transformation Program Manager

We are searching for an experienced Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Project Manager to join PNNL. This is a principal level role that will be responsible for the entire ERP assessment and implementation lifecycle for Business and Human Resources including leadership of cross-functional teams and aligning goals with business stakeholder needs.

This individual will drive complex cross-functional sub-projects, report to leadership to provide visibility/transparency, advise on and collect business and systems requirements from stakeholders, working closely with business partners, and system integrators, and drive project schedules from design to release in an agile environment. You will drive the customer experience and develop and report on key metric improvements. You will be expected to make appropriate trade-offs to clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to cross-functional project teams.

The right candidate possesses a strong program management and agile background, has demonstrated experience leading large complex integration projects in an agile environment, and has a well-rounded technical background in ERP technologies. The person executing this role must be able to thrive and succeed in an agile environment, and not be hindered by ambiguity or competing priorities. This means you are not only able to develop and drive this high-level strategic initiative, but can also roll up your sleeves, dig in and get the job done.

  • Proven track record to manage multiple complex projects involving ERP business transformation to meet stated business goals, budgets, and objectives.

  • In-depth knowledge of ERP technology and business processes.

  • Exceptional interpersonal, collaboration and communication abilities.

  • Expertly manage extremely complex and high-risk multi-year projects or programs, leveraging cross-directorate resources and capabilities, and effectively managing stakeholder interactions in an agile environment.

  • Extensive experience in leadership and management oversight to very large and/or highly complex projects and programs with exceptionally high visibility with sponsors and impact.

  • Ability to facilitate negotiations between stakeholders and sponsors around scope and priority

  • Provide project updates, milestones, and challenges to senior executive leadership.

  • Prioritize ERP projects to balance organizational needs and available resources.

  • Conceptualize and develop project documentation and communicating documentation to business team leaders on regular basis.

  • Lead, direct, influence and exercises extensive business knowledge and expertise to evaluation and resolve significant business issues pertinent to key projects.

  • Provide strategic direction and build cohesiveness across project and program teams.

  • Proactively manage risks, oversight, and resolution of significant issues and/or concerns that may be detrimental to success of the strategic initiatives.

  • Recognized as an indisputable expert in the field of disciplined project management (agile preferred), including industry recognition and reputation.

  • A demonstrated command for defining long range strategy.

  • Collaborate with Digital Platform Manager to understand the overall strategic road-maps of business and technical outcomes.

  • Collaborate with the Change Management organization to define the methods and techniques for implementation to ensure change across initiatives is successful.

  • Engage with laboratory staff, leadership, for continual feedback to improve processes and support the long-term health and sustainability of the implemented solutions.



Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS/BA and 13+ years of experience -OR-

  • MS/MA or higher and 11 years of relevant project management experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) or Certified Professional in Agile Coaching (ICP-ACC)

  • Four (4) years of experience serving in a ScrumMaster role, or Product Owner, Certified ScrumMaster or Certified Product Owner a plus

  • At least 6 years of ERP implementation experience in government or industry.
