<p><strong><em>This role reports into our Boston office 4 days a week, and 1 day remote.</em></strong></p>

We are looking for a talented Environmental Health &amp; Safety Specialist to join our Global Safety and Security Team. <p>A successful Environmental Health &amp; Safety&nbsp; Specialist candidate will have experience in one or more of the following areas and be willing to learn and develop new skills. This is a multi-disciplinary role that will rotate between focuses while having opportunities to specialize in areas of need or interest. Critical thinking, excellent communication, collaborative attitude, and attention to detail are essential skills for this position.</p>

<p><strong>Environmental Support</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>File/maintain No Exposure permits or Stormwater Permits/SWPP plans for applicable sites.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Review any new processes that may have environmental impacts.&nbsp;</li>

<li>File annual TIER II reports.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Work with vendors and consultants on hazardous waste storage and disposal.</li>

<li>Assist in developing and delivering environmental training.&nbsp;</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>Safety &amp; Health Support</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Assist with our EHS platform called Gensuite, and ensure sites and employees are set up with proper permissions, and troubleshoot issues.</li>

<li>Review and maintain EHS programs.&nbsp; Make changes as needed, while seeking input from the site and corporate safety and operations team.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Participate in on site Readiness Assessments to evaluate sites on their EHS compliance.</li>

<li>Support site safety and security employees on various proactive EHS projects.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Become certified to teach First Aid/CPR/AED training.</li>

<li>Develop and roll out universal EHS campaigns to all Wayfair sites.</li>

<li>Work with vendors and suppliers on new and innovative safety technologies, products, ppe.</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>Corporate Safety and Security</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Assist employees at corporate with day to day safety concerns.</li>

<li>Review workers compensation and injury data to determine incident mitigation strategy.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Perform Safety and Security duties as assigned and assist in the day-to-day operations at headquarters.</li>

<li>Maintain detailed records of communications and events, interaction and incident tracking, case management, safety compliance, and supporting calendars.</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>What you’ll do:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>Monitor and analyze safety incidents and support sites.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Assist with training and programs.</li>

<li>Research potential products and technologies that can help the company reduce risk.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Communicate with internal and external stakeholders about safety incidents or best practices.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Participate in risk assessments out in the field.</li>

<li>Participate in the development and implementation of safety policies and procedures.</li>

<li>Stay up-to-date on the latest safety trends.</li>

<li>Exercise independent judgment in interpreting information and making decisions within the scope of assigned tasks.</li>

<li>Perform other related duties as required to support Global Safety and Security Central Operations.</li>

</ul>

<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>

<ul>

<li>2+ years of experience in an EHS role.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Strong understanding of safety programs and regulations.&nbsp;</li>

<li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.</li>

<li>Ability to work independently and as part of a team.</li>

<li>Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.</li>

<li>Flexibility with work schedule.</li>

<li>College degree preferred.</li>
