The duties and responsibilities of this temporary position are to act as an Engineering Services subject matter expert (SME) on one of our Programs to include supporting test equipment engineering, reliability engineering special studies and taking on a mentoring role to improve overall engineering strengths in the technical support areas.

Provides technical support to engineers on a variety of tasks. Plans and executes experiments and gathers, maintains, formats, compiles, and manipulates technical data, such as laboratory or material test results and engineering design changes to support engineering disciplines. Analyzes, maintains, compiles and formats data and design changes. Produces drawings, reports, and engineering documentation.

What you will do:

  • Act in a mentoring capacity to technical support staff to include travel to facilities for hands on training, facility liaison visits and special projects to bring new and existing facilities online.

  • Responsible for improving upon existing processes and systems using significant conceptualizing, reasoning, and interpretation.

  • Provide missile new build support to include backfilling on site quality and technical support tasking on an as needed basis.

  • Minimal travel required.

Qualifications you must have:

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of prior relevant experience

  • Missile assembly/disassembly experience

  • Ability to develop or redline technical manuals associated with missile processing activities.

  • Ability to read and interpret specifications, schematics, and/or design drawings.

  • Experience with performing outbound product inspection to ensure product meets customer requirements, including verification and validation of product, packaging, labelling, and shipping documentation.

  • Experience with supporting First Article Inspections and completes related documentation.

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Experience in a mentoring capacity to bring engineers up to speed on maintaining operation procedures, training, facility liaison visits and evaluating engineering change proposals.

  • Experience working with Microsoft Office Suites (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

  • Ability to perform configuration verification of all levels of assemblies/hardware.

  • Acceptable communication and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels.

  • Display a deep personal commitment to successfully complete assignments.
