Employee Safety and Risk Claims Consultant

Do you have strong leadership skills and a desire to work for a company that improves the lives of others? In the Employee Safety and Risk Claims Consultant role, you will contribute to the company’s commitment to serve others by delivering highly customized field management claims training, loss claims analysis, and claims compliance expertise to mitigate employee lost work time and achieve overall claim cost reductions.

  • Provide technical claim expertise and coaching to management

  • Serve as a liaison with field Safety and Risk Managers to identify and control risk behaviors to reduce loss

  • Communicate with all levels of field management and Human Resources to mitigate employee workers’ compensation and auto injuries and claims

  • Perform claim data analysis to build customized field strategies for return to work and claim closure

  • Develop action plans to decrease claim reserves and ensure timely claim settlements while actively monitoring on-going claim risk strategies

  • Prepare claim loss reports and present customized, strategic business cases with recommendations to field operations and Employee Safety and Risk leadership

  • Design and facilitate education and training on employee injury management, stay-at-work, disability management, and lost-time administration, vendor and medical provider communication, and auto claim administration

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field; Associate in Risk Management (ARM) preferred

  • Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience

  • Knowledge of workers’ compensation claims systems and Microsoft Office (including an extensive understanding of Excel database processing)

  • Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to multi-task

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
