Overview
The Driver is responsible for pick-up and delivery of electrical supplies and tools in and around Boston.
Responsibilities
Pick up electrical supplies from local distributors.
Deliver electrical supplies and tools to jobsites using the most efficient route possible.
Take direction on where to travel to and what to pick-up solely from office staff, specifically the warehouse supervisor.
Review and track all items that have been picked up and delivered to verify accuracy.
Assist in clean out of projects
Light warehouse work
Return to office/warehouse in a timely manner each day and/or as agreed to with Warehouse Manager
Attention to cleanliness of vehicles and keeping up with routine maintenance.
Abide by all state laws and the Gaston Driver policy.
Qualifications

Position Requirements/Preferred Skills, Education and Experience
1-3 years of Warehouse delivery or similar experience required
Prior driving experience preferred, specifically 16’ or greater box trucks
Ability to obtain a DOT license and have a good driving record
HS degree or GED required
Forklift experience preferred; training is available if needed.
Capable of lifting heavy boxes up to 50lbs
Knowledge of electric supplies and tools preferred.
Possess good organizational and communication skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Reliable and punctual
Language Skills
Must have the demonstrated ability to effectively communicate in English, cooperate, and collaborate with multiple levels of customers, employees, unions, government agencies, vendors and suppliers, and other contractor organizations.
