Oracle Director Solution Engineering - HCM in Boston, Massachusetts

As the Director of Solution Engineering, you will be responsible for developing and deploying our go-to-market strategy and supporting strategic sales opportunities. You will share your knowledge and expertise to help prepare a team of solution engineers for driving their opportunities and communicate with product development teams to promote our product within the industries that your teams support.

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated history of:

  • Developing positive relationships with sales, peers, and other partners.

  • Building a positive culture of engagement, growth, and trust; ensuring minimal voluntary turnover.

  • Evangelizing HCM in enterprise deal strategy, account reviews, and go-to market strategies.

  • Confirmed ability to transform Solution Engineering teams from tactical to strategic through mentor and continuous feedback.

  • Proven history of growing team validations, utilization and quality with tangible results.

  • Ability to contain and resolve critical issues without the need of upper management intervention.

  • Being a change agent, with a strong history of innovation and thought leadership as well as project management skills to see the project through to completion.

  • Leading and winning large enterprise transformation deals.

Primary Responsibilities in this Role

  • Work closely with solution and industry GVPs to align on priorities, help shape strategy, and earn trust.

  • Help lead account and deal strategy.

  • Build a strategy and provide thought leadership for meeting market needs

  • Lead with a One Oracle mentality, collaborating and communicating across teams for the best outcomes for our customers.

  • Be a thought leader, create and lead projects/committees to keep HCM Solution Engineering on the forefront of innovation, technology and standard methodologies.

  • Lead with data, establishing team KPIs and supervising progress against quarterly goals, aligning with overall sales objectives and targets.

  • Responsible for growing and enabling a team of high powered pre-sales solution engineers

  • Drive development of re-usable solutions, enablement programs and other sales assets within the team such as OMBPs, innovative demonstration approaches, preparation methodology, engaging delivery, and others.

  • Define programs for enabling the sales and solution engineering teams to drive sales, adoption and value propositions

  • Work collaboratively in the field with Oracle system implementation partners

  • Develop critical relationships with industry evaluation firms.

  • Help develop and supply sales campaigns passionate about growing the HCM business!

Responsibilities

As part of the Oracle sales team you will direct and manage pre-sales resources throughout the sales cycle. Provides technical/functional leadership to the sales team in the development and implementation of customer applications and customer products. Participates in account planning and strategy development. May publishes technical information of specific applications and/or technical articles. Works with management to define new products. Serves as the company liaison on specific technical projects with customers.

US: Hiring Range: from $130,100 to $232,300 per annum. May be eligible for equity and compensation deferral. Eligible for commission with an estimated pay mix of 60/40 - 65/35.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

  8. Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. For employees working at least 35 hours per week, the vacation accrual rate is 13 days annually for the first three years of employment and 18 days annually for subsequent years of employment. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.

  10. Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
