Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced operational leader who is inspired to work within a high touch patient and customer services team to help impact the lives of those living with rare genetic disease of obesity. Responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership, delivering capabilities to create compliant and positive customer experiences, improving outcomes for patients and value to the organization.

S/he will work in close collaboration with the internal patient services, business operations and market access teams, supporting treatment access, distribution, and implementation of innovative support offerings. This role will report to the VP of Patient & Customer Services.

Rhythm values the face-to-face interactions we have while in the office and currently operates in a hybrid work model for Boston-based roles.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Drives execution of patient access strategy and day to day operations, leading management of specialty pharmacies and outsourced HUB providers, 3PL and government pricing vendors to facilitate distribution and treatment access

  • Leads continuous improvement efforts to optimize processes related to performance and business outcomes

  • Drives and develop standards that enable best practices and maintenance of standards across vendors, ensuring execution against contracts and business rules

  • Develops and maintain policies for patient services and financial assistance workflows and required SOPs to ensure vendors are trained on processes

  • Partner with insights and data team to enhance tracking, analysis, and communication of key patient support metrics

  • Proactively identify obstacles in the evolving reimbursement and regulatory landscape related to patient privacy and legal and compliance regulations

  • Partner with Market Access team to identify and address coverage barriers to increase access

  • Management of government pricing vendors responsible for processing commercial and government rebate submission, data analysis, pricing calculation and submission of state/federal reporting

  • Ensuring legal/regulatory/compliance with our patient and customer process and interactions

    Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree, MBA preferred

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, focused on biopharma experience supporting patients

  • Experience in the patient service, pharmacy distribution, product launch, building and implementing patient support systems, and working with external partners

  • Pharmacy distribution experience

  • Knowledge of commercial copay programs, patient assistance programs and foundation support

  • Strong strategic thinking and ability to integrate operational efficiencies into business objectives

  • Excellent project management ability

  • Experience leveraging data and insights to inform strategies and optimize plans

  • Strong collaboration and ability to influence across internal and external stakeholders

  • Able to navigate complex challenges with a sense of accountability and results-driven mindset

  • Experience in government pricing, Medicaid drug rebate programs, Medicare average sales price reporting and other public sector programs

  • Ability to travel in the U.S. (up to about 20% travel)

    This role is based out of our Corporate office in Boston, Massachusetts. Rhythm operates in a hybrid-work model. Candidates applying must be willing and able to be in the Boston office in coordination with their department and business needs.

    This role will involve travel, per pandemic travel guidelines.
