About Children’s Trust Children's Trust, operating under the Executive Office of Education, is dedicated to preventing child abuse and neglect in Massachusetts. Our mission is to partner with organizations and communities to drive systemic change that addresses the root causes of child abuse and neglect. We provide high-quality programs and services, deliver training and technical assistance to the family support workforce, and advocate for statewide policy decisions that build resilient families, enabling children to grow up safe and thrive. Children’s Trust has an annual budget of approximately $26M from Federal and State funding and an additional average annual raise of $850K from our 501c3 arm. Position Overview We are seeking an entrepreneurial and mission-drivenDirector of Training Servicesto lead the strategy, operations, and innovation of our Training Institute (TI). In this leadership role, you will help elevate the professional capacity of family support workers, while expanding the reach and impact of our training programs statewide. Children’s Trust is seeking someone to help define strong, efficient internal systems for our newly structured Training Institute. This role is ideal for a collaborative leader with a growth mindset who excels at building strategic partnerships, driving innovation, and strengthening learning ecosystems. They are tech savvy, extremely organized, data driven and has demonstrated experience leading teams through growth. This position is ideal for a collaborative manager who is passionate about professional development, community partnerships, and workforce empowerment in child and family services. An ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate: * A proven ability to lead and develop diverse, mission-driven teams with a focus on coaching, mentorship, and fostering a culture of psychological safety and continuous learning. * Skills in managing and motivating cross-functional teams, promoting accountability, collaboration, and professional growth to achieve shared organizational goals. * Experience in building inclusive team environments where equity, belonging, and open communication are central to staff engagement and performance. Key Responsibilities /Operational Leadership & Innovation (40%)/ * Oversee and optimize the operational strategy of the Training Institute, ensuring high-quality, equitable delivery of learning experiences. * Lead continuous improvement efforts by streamlining workflows, upgrading systems (including implementing a Learning Management System), and applying data insights to refine services. * Manage a multi-functional team focused on delivering impactful training to the family support workforce. * Develop and manage the Training Institute’s budget and vendor contracts with a focus on efficiency and alignment with organizational values. /Partnerships & Cross-Team Collaboration (25%)/ * Co-lead the Training Institute alongside the Director of Training Content to ensure aligned, mission-driven delivery of training services. * Foster collaboration with internal departments such as programs, communications, marketing, IT, and finance to deliver cohesive, accessible, and culturally responsive training initiatives. * Cultivate partnerships with non-profits, government agencies, and sector leaders to amplify impact and reach across Massachusetts. * Serve as a key liaison in planning and executing the agency’s annual conference. /Strategic Growth & Partner Engagement (15%)/ * Design strategies to expand and deepen engagement with community-based organizations and state partners. * Create customized training solutions that meet diverse partner needs and advance the professionalization of the family support workforce. * Identify emerging trends and workforce gaps to develop forward-thinking solutions with the Director of Training Content and other leaders. /Evaluation, Learning & Quality Assurance (10%)/ * Implement a learning-driven, data-informed culture by developing frameworks for continuous evaluation and improvement. * Leverage data and feedback to monitor progress toward equity-focused goals, refine offerings, and enhance participant experience. * Generate reports and dashboards to inform organizational decision-making and strategic planning. /Additional Duties (10%)/ * Represent the Training Institute in local and national networks to stay informed of industry trends and ensure relevance and innovation in offerings. * Mentor and develop staff with a growth mindset approach, fostering a culture of professional development and psychological safety. Preferred Qualifications: * 7 years of progressively responsible experience in training program management, professional development, adult learning, or nonprofit leadership. * Experience working with or within human services, family support, government, non-profits, or community-based organizations, particularly with historically marginalized populations. Skills & Competencies: * Strong commitment to equity, inclusion, and cultural responsiveness in professional development. * Demonstrated ability to manage budgets, contracts, and cross-functional teams. * Proven experience implementing operational systems, such as LMS platforms, to enhance training accessibility and efficiency. * Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse partners and stakeholders. * Highly organized and strategic, with a collaborative and innovative leadership style. MINIMUM ENTRANCE REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must have at least (A) six (6) years of full-time or, equivalent part-time, professional, administrative, supervisory, or managerial experience in business administration, business management, public administration, public management, clinical administration or clinical management of which (B) at least two (2) years must have been in a project management, supervisory or managerial capacity or (C) any equivalent combination of the required experience and substitutions below. Substitutions: I. A certificate in a relevant or related field may be substituted for one (1) year of the required (A) experience. II. A Bachelor's degree in a related field may be substituted for two (2) years of the required (A) experience. III. A Graduate degree in a related field may be substituted for three (3) years of the required (A) experience. IV.
