WSP is currently initiating a search for a Director of Digital Delivery for Highways , with responsibility for implementation of the digital delivery offering at WSP USA for their Transportation Highways business line. In this leadership role, this position will help develop new digital delivery strategies, engage in BIM management and digital delivery oversight on projects, and develop internal training, standards, and awareness within the Highways and Civil delivery teams.This role will participate in the full life cycle of project delivery, including development of digital delivery strategies through all phases of planning, design, construction and asset management. As a digital delivery leader, this position will work with experts in modelling, simulation, data management, systems interface, and AI to provide enterprise-level strategy for infrastructure clients, assisting them to realize the true benefits of their information and data. They must understand the potential for integrated information management tools for large scale infrastructure projects and be able to demonstrate lifecycle value of digital delivery to clients through the implementations of digital twins.

The successful candidate will be capable of growing a team that includes a network of Champions embedded inside the WSP USA Highways Transportation businesses as well as building a dedicated team of digital delivery experts who lead and deliver projects.

Your Impact

  • The successful candidate will work with the organization to create information policy, standards and protocols – and help embed new ways of working to make better, more holistic decisions based on quality information, and building the foundation toward a purposeful Digital Delivery capability. Establish the strategy and governance of WSP’s internal digital delivery standards for various State Departments of Transportation and other major Highways clients

  • Develop internal training, awareness, and upskilling programs to enable WSP to meet the changing needs of their clients.

  • Deployment of model-centric workflows and develop specifications of the information requirements on projects.

  • Design and implementation of asset information management requirements that unlock the information value chain across a client’s enterprise and enhances traditional approaches to asset management.

  • Implement methodologies and procedures for the collection, production, coordination, sharing and maintenance management of data and information relating to infrastructure assets.

  • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.

  • Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.

Who You Are

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Systems, Engineering, Architecture or a related field

  • 12+ years professional experience in leading initiatives across information management, data modeling and systems architecture

  • Knowledge of a wide range of 3D design, modeling, and cloud-based integration platforms, including Bentley, Autodesk, Esri, Microsoft Azure, etc.

  • Expertise in the Bentley technology stack with emphasis on the Open Roads and Connect line of products.

  • Knowledge of emerging industry standards and framework, such as openBIM and open data standards

  • Track record in bringing progressive approaches, thinking and ways of working in a digital delivery environment

  • Knowledge of information management best practices, including strategy, processes, tools and current developments in infrastructure and the built environment

  • Understanding of the requirements and implications of organizational transformation and change

  • Ability to communicate and influence stakeholders at all levels including the executive team

  • Be open minded, collaborative and retain a strong sense of team

  • Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.

  • Strong ability to quickly adapt to change and demonstrate flexibility to a variety of schedules and hours to meet business needs.

  • Occasional travel may be required depending on project-specific requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree is preferred.

  • Expertience working for or with a State Department of Transportation

Compensation and Benefits:

WSP provides a comprehensive suite of benefits including medical, dental, vision, disability, life, and retirement savings focused on a providing health and financial stability throughout the employee’s career.

Expected Salary: $107,300 - $218,900

WSP USA is providing the compensation range and general description of other compensation and benefits that the company in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities in addition to internal equity and geographic location.
