DevOps Engineer

Role Overview:

At SkyHigh Security Cloud Business Unit, we are looking for a creative and passionate DevOps Engineer. You will be part of team of DevOps team responsible for building multiple environments. As a member of the team, you'll deliver highly scalable cloud deployment and provisioning systems and implement products built on Infrastructure-as-Code. You will take ownership of major tasks. You will report to the Sr. Manager, Engineering.

About the Role:

  • Deploy and automate important applications on cloud-native microservices architecture using tools such as CloudFormation and Salt.

  • Work with a broader engineering team to plan and automate a flexible and scalable platform.

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of systems to quickly identify production issues.

  • Manage existing infrastructure. Recommend and implement enhancements.

  • Lead technology plans that improve scalability, reliability, and manageability.

  • Implement processes to do continuous integration and deployments.

About You:

  • US Citizenship

  • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience

  • Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in a DevOps role.

  • Experience deploying public cloud infrastructure, (AWS required, Azure and GCP )

  • Infrastructure as Code and Configuration Management using (CloudFormation, Salt )

  • Knowledge of Linux systems administration and architecture.

  • Proficiency working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) like EC2, EBS, ELB, S3, and CloudFront in a highly available and scalable production environment

  • Experience with container technologies like Docker, Kubernetes. LWC and containerization orchestration tools like ECS, AKS, EKS.

  • Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins.

  • Experience configuring and managing web servers (Apache, Tomcat, Nginx) and RESTful web service applications.

  • Strong scripting experience, such as Python and Shell/Bash.

  • Experience with source control tools such as GIT/Github, SVN, or Perforce.

  • Network knowledge (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, Load balancing) and prior network administration experience is a big plus
