The Anthropology Department is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Department Administrator to manage and oversee all financial, administrative, and operational functions. This critical role ensures the smooth functioning of the department and supports its academic and research missions.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Management: Develop and manage departmental budgets, oversee grant administration, and prepare financial reports.
Personnel and Operations Management: Address personnel matters, coordinate IT and equipment needs, and oversee space and facilities management.
Graduate Program Administration: Oversee all aspects of the graduate student program, including maintaining records and providing programmatic support.
Communication and Outreach: Develop and maintain the department's website, ensuring up-to-date and accurate content.
Supervision: Directly supervise three staff members, providing guidance and support to ensure the efficient operation of departmental activities.
Required Skills
B.A./B.S., and one to three years of experience required.
1 - 3 years of relevant experience in administrative, financial, or personnel management roles.
Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
