The Department of Mental Health is seeking to hire an intern who will support its Clinical Professional Services Division in Central Office Boston. _Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):_ * Work on Expedited Psychiatric Inpatient Admission (EPIA) Policy * Assist with bed searching and work as a liaison between Insurance Carriers,Emergency Service Providers (ESPs), Emergency Departments (EDs), and DMH licensed inpatient facilities in an effort to secure beds. * Responsible for organizing EPIA referrals, correspondence and data files. * Attend 2 weekly ED Boarding EOHHS calls, EPIA Regulatory / Stakeholder meetings and assist with administrative duties/data entry as needed. _Preferred Qualifications:_ * Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. * Given the population served, bilingual or multilingual fluency. _Period of Service:_ May 28, 2024 through August 30, 2024 _Additional Information:_ * Benefits are unavailable with the exception of sick leave accruals. * All employees will be paid on a biweekly basis and must have direct deposit. * The salary for this position is $18 an hour. * Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. * Days Off: Saturday and Sunday _DMH Mission Statement:_ The Department of Mental Health assures and provides access to services and supports to meet the mental health needs of individuals of all ages, enabling them to live, work and participate in their communities.
