As a Cloud Security Analyst you will be responsible for enhancing and maintaining the security posture of Amex GBT. You will support the Cloud Security team by identifying, analyzing, and mitigating security threats, alerts, vulnerabilities and misconfigurations, ensuring the protection of sensitive customer and operational data.

What You'll Do:

• As a Cloud Security Analyst, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the security posture of our cloud infrastructure

• You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and monitor security measures that safeguard the cloud-based systems and data

• Cloud resource In-depth knowledge of cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and their security features

• Your expertise will help identify vulnerabilities, respond to security incidents, and develop strategies to mitigate risks

• Collaborate with IT teams to design and implement security controls in cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Monitor cloud infrastructure for security breaches, vulnerabilities, and unauthorized access

• Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential risks and areas for improvement

• Respond to security incidents, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions

• Develop and maintain documentation related to cloud security policies, procedures, and best practices

What We’re Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Cloud Security Analyst, Security Analyst, or a combined role (5+ years preferred).

• Solid background in Cloud Security misconfiguration and alert remediation.

• Ability to stay informed about cloud-based threats through active monitoring and identifying potential threats.

• Familiarity with containerization tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).

• Familiarity with Security Control Systems and Frameworks (e.g., SOX, PCI-DSS, ISO).

• Adaptability in a remote-first, international team.

• Excellent communication skills: Ability to translate technical cybersecurity concepts into clear, actionable terms for diverse audiences.

• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication abilities

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field.

• Motivational attitude: Positive and proactive approach to leading change in the face of cybersecurity challenges.

• Industry knowledge: Familiarity with corporate security programs, compliance standards, and risk management processes.

Location

United States

The US national annual base salary range for this position is from $70,000 to $140,000. The national range provided includes the base salary that GBT expects to pay for the role. Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
