Eaton is seeking a curious and determined Digital Product Manager that will define and build the technology strategy for Eaton’s Brightlayer digital cloud platform and analytics and a commercial/go-to-market plan for monetization of the platform capabilities by working closely with external and internal stakeholders to accelerate growth.
This leader will build new capabilities with our digital design and development teams and be responsible for the Brightlayer digital platform requirements for cloud, data science, and services APIs/components. In addition, this leader will be responsible for the technology roadmap, investment management, and overall portfolio management along with providing overall business ownership throughout the lean agile development process for cloud, analytics and API services.
In this role you will:
Oversee investment management, requirements management, and roadmap development for Bright layer cloud platform and analytics
Create value proposition development for the components of the cloud platform and drive adoption internally and externally through services proliferation
Serve as the internal Ecosystem and Integration expert by knowing and translating the problems and needs of our actual users and customers, including internal product teams and third-party developers building on our platform
Identify, develop, and maintain a thorough understanding of the competitive landscape and market opportunities while staying abreast of industry and compliance best practices to ensure the Brightlayer platform can be easily adopted by all stakeholders
Be responsible for the direct growth of Eaton’s Brightlayer application enablement and intelligence platforms
Continuously drive process improvements and requirements with the use of platforms and data to maximize efficiencies and results
Drive requirements from businesses to ensure Brightlayer platform cloud, data science capabilities are met
Train the sales and services teams as well as customers on platform capabilities and monetization

Required (Basic) Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution
Minimum of 8+ years in digital product management, application engineering, and product development experience
Minimum of 3 years working on platform products with a high degree of complexity (API as a service, complex data pipelines, integrations, or similar)
Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Software Engineering, IT, or Computer Science
Digital product management experience with an emphasis on software-oriented solutions
Experience with various business models such as: software as a service, data monetization through APIs, and pricing
Deep empathy and understanding of software development practices and risk mitigation
Experience commercializing software platforms used for application development
Proven experience in software product development and across multiple products and multiple development teams in an agile environment
Proven track record of successfully bringing next generation products, services and technologies to market
Experience leading a team of digital product experts
Excellent methodical organization and time management skills, including the ability to work nimbly across multiple projects and balance interdependent competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Exceptional project management skills, with superb attention to detail and an emphasis on structured problem-solving and planning
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to understand technical concepts and data structure at a high-level and articulating that across the organization in easy-to-understand terms
Ability to interact with people across the globe and with different cultural backgrounds
Ability to develop a strong knowledge base of products and dealing with high levels of complexity and analysis
Strong forward-thinking and analytical skills
Ability to make data and customer-centered decisions through active listening
Demonstrated leadership skills, including excelling at influencing without authority, conflict management resolution, and relationship management

The expected annual salary range for this role is $110,625 - $162,250 a year.
