The Billing Compliance Specialist will be responsible for supporting clinical research billing compliance operations in the Clinical Trials Office. Reporting to the Billing Compliance Lead, the Billing Compliance Specialist will support all aspects of clinical trials billing reviews in systems and will ensure that study teams are completing billing reviews in a timely fashion while ensuring full compliance with all clinical research billing regulations.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Train study teams on Epic Tier 1 review processes

  • Identify delays and work with study teams to mitigate

  • Develop study team related SOPs

  • Support Central Billing Review

  • Work with central Billing Reviewers on streamlining/improving processes

  • Report to institutional leadership on current status of billing review

  • Strategize and implement best practices across study teams

Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred.

  • 1-3 years related work experience required.

  • Clinical Trials experience; Epic experience preferred.

  • Analytical mindset with a focus on problem-solving and continuous improvement.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work with diverse stakeholders to achieve specific goals.

  • Curious, with strong critical thinking skills and a commitment to change initiatives.

  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
