Job Description:

Do you enjoy answering questions with maps? The Geospatial Analytics Team develops spatial tools and provides analytic insights in order to create the optimal Financial Center and ATM network across our franchise. The team is tasked with understanding the potential opportunity, favorability and competitive environment starting from the top down market standpoint to individual street corners. In this role, the candidate will critically evaluate spatial data to solve problems related to new market entries, repositioning and right sizing of the existing network. Utilizing top of the line location intelligence tools, we create geospatial visualizations that influence business decisions.

Understanding complex patterns using location as our guide is key to the team’s success. When the business has a question that begins with “where,” we bring the full power of spatial analysis to bear providing comprehensive analytics and tools such as maps, apps, dashboards and more. Adhoc analytic activities include understanding relationships between Bank of America and our competitors and the performance implications. Additional proximity analyses seek to understand the relationships between touch points in our network as well as the interrelationship between physical and digital channels. Other responsibilities include assisting with support for ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise Portal environment. This involves maintaining the current suite of apps and spatial data as well as proactively utilizing these tools to create business solutions to drive new insights. In this role, you are encouraged to utilize our comprehensive suite of analytic tools in new ways to drive the business.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Leverage spatial analytic software and tools and apply geospatial knowledge to provide comprehensive analytics and solutions such as maps, apps, dashboards, and more

  • Maintain the current suite of apps and spatial data on our ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise Portal and proactively use these tools to create business solutions and drive new insights

  • Communicate complex subjects in a simple and engaging manner to non-technical and technical business partners using software such as Power Point, Word, Excel, and Tableau

  • Perform quantitative techniques and analysis on location, customer, transaction, opportunity, and performance data based on questions provided by business partners

  • Follows quality workflow process and documentation requirements to adhere to standards and provide business continuity

  • Help integrate new data sets into Enterprise environment to provide geographic understandings of currently non geo-enabled information

  • Deepen team bench strength with current geo-analytic processes and continuously explore options for procedural improvements

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated skills using ESRI ArcGIS software is required, prefer experience with spatial analytics tools in ArcPro and building applications ArcGIS Enterprise Portal

  • Academic background in geography or statistics preferred

  • Understanding of application development in Experience Builder, prior use of Survey123, Field Maps and Story Maps and experience in custom report/infographic building in Business Analyst Web App desired.

  • Experience with Python a strong plus
