Position Overview
Autodesk is seeking a Chief of Staff to join the Shotgun team as part of the Media and Entertainment organization. We are seeking a highly motivated individual who will work in direct partnership with the VP, to establish effective operating models, planning processes, and be responsible for operational efficiency of this team.

Our VP will create and execute strategies that accelerate the future of Industry marketing teams.
The successful candidate must have the ability to effectively facilitate discussions to help the VP and team, make impactful decisions and create an inclusive and collaborative environment for the leadership team. S/he will build and nurture the right processes and operating model for a high performing team and must be a collaborative and influential figure within the company, working across businesses and functions. S/he will have a proven ability to establish strong relationships and trust. Strong communication skills and the ability to effectively lead and manage the organizations strategic initiatives effectively are essential to this role.
Responsibilities
Manages the organization’s strategic roadmap by tracking all initiatives and verifying execution, updating metrics and providing report outs as needed
Creates, plans, and facilitates staff meetings to accomplish clear and effective decision making, tracking, and reporting on follow-up actions. Creates strategic messaging, both written & spoken, to provide an overall view across teams for better collaboration across the organization
Serves as a trusted advisor the leader. The Chief of Staff acts as a sounding board, serves as liaison or proxy when needed, and manages executive communications for the leader being supported
Coordinates opportunities for efficiency by conducting research, benchmarking & analytics, proposes new systems/processes to streamline as needed
Prepares decks for large customer-facing events (eg. AU, OTC, TechX). Prepares decks for C-staff presentations/all-hands for team
Co-develops and maintains an integrated business plan and operating model, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and progress measures for the business
Champions and drives efforts across the team to improve effectiveness and contribute to making Autodesk and this team a great place to work
Manages strategic communications on behalf of leadership, distilling and communicating key messages to extended team, executives, & collaborators across the company
Leads and drives an ongoing, agile business planning process, including:
Defining, implementing, and managing an ongoing and evolving business planning process
Driving team towards deadlines, acting as a thought partner, and structuring or jump-starting deliverables as required
Building alignment on the plan, KPIs, and operating model and resource implications
Driving and managing cross-team strategic initiatives in support of the business plan
Contributing to communicating our strategy, plans, and progress concisely and inspirationally via presentations, documents, blogs, videos, townhalls, and other channels
Managing quarterly business reviews, processes and related deliverables, including developing and managing analytics and dashboards that track progress to results, preparing the extended team for internal executive reviews, and celebrating milestones and successes
Helping lead and manage effective leadership meetings on a wide variety of topics, including; defining agendas, facilitating, capturing decisions & actions, and follow-ups as needed
Coordination of product initiatives between the various engineering functions, product management and Go-To-Market
Responsible for coordinating the analytics that will enable us to accurately track progress towards financial goals
Ensures an appropriate resourcing model is structured to meet financial goals
Minimum Qualifications
BS or equivalent, MBA strongly preferred, software development or consulting experience desirable
15+ years management experience preferred, including staff and budget responsibility
Experience in business planning, strategy & operations

Outstanding facilitation, collaboration, and influencing skills
Skilled diplomat with elevated levels of professional confidence, business acumen, and relationship-building
Proven, applied data-driven, decision-making skillset and ability to manage an analytics program
Deep experience in complex, mission-critical program management roles
Effective communication skills and strong executive presentation development and delivery skills
A bias for action and ability to manage short-term decisions with longer-term vision
Ability to assess needs, influence, collaborate, deliver and partner at all levels in the organization
Demonstrated ability to build collaborative, trustworthy relationships across functions and geographies
Exceptional Organizational Skills
Ability to transform complex strategies into key initiatives and establish strategic planning processes for the team to build execution plans against them
Ability to identify complex issues, put plan and processes in place to resolve
Ability to organize teams and plans, establish and manage supporting KPIs, track progress and establish report out vehicles

Ability to pragmatically prioritize importance of work based on impact on business objectives in both the short and long term
Ability to influence and drive the organization to make informed business decisions using a defined framework that documents stakeholders, risks and dependencies
Can articulate, clarify, and amplify the intent and priorities of the leadership team to the rest of the organization.

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely about deeply complex and often technical topics to executive audiences as well as organization at large where knowledge of the industry and technical topics will vary
