Amergis Staffing is seeking Certified Surgical Technologists for a contract opportunity at a world renowned hospital in Boston, MA!

Qualifications:

• Must hold active CST

• Minimum 1 year of experience

• COVID and flu vaccines are required (booster not required)

  Shift Options:

4x10: Typical schedules for 4x10 are currently 7a-530p M, T, TH, F and 9a-730p on Wednesdays. Weekend day shifts are always 12 hrs 7a-730p. Includes 2 call shifts per 4 week period. Includes weekends, rotation to two weeks of nights per 13-week contract.

OR

4x12: 48 hour rotational shifts. Weekend day shifts are always 12 hrs 7a-730p. All weekday shifts will be 7a with the exception of Wednesdays 9a starts. Typical schedules for 48 hrs are 7a-730p (combination of M, T, TH, F) and 9a-9:30p on Wednesdays. Includes 2 call shifts per 4 week period. Includes weekends, rotation to two weeks of nights per 13-week contract.

Job Duties:

• Places equipment and supplies in operating room and arranges instruments, according to instructions

• Assists team members to place and position patient on table

• Scrubs arms and hands and dons gown and gloves

• Aids team to don gowns and gloves

• Maintains supply of fluids, such as plasma, saline, blood, and glucose for use during operation

• Hands instruments and supplies to surgeon, holds retractors, cuts sutures, and performs other tasks as directed by the surgeon during operation.

• Puts dressings on patient following surgery

• Counts sponges, needles, and instruments before and after operation

• Washes and sterilizes equipment, using germicides and sterilizers

• Cleans operating room

• Performs other duties as assigned/necessary
