Citizens Bank Capital Management Senior Analyst in Boston, Massachusetts

The Capital Management Analyst will support capital adequacy assessment, planning and analytics by providing risk-based capital / financial reporting, performing variance, sensitivity, forecast analysis, supporting policy development and business-as-usual or ad hoc requests. The role also includes analysis and documentation related to annual and mid-year stress tests and development of legal entity capital plans.

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting with business as usual analysis and reporting of risk-based capital to support assessment of capital adequacy versus internal policy and regulatory requirements

  • Analyzing historical and forecast results to assess adequacy of projected capital across legal entities relative to inherent risk under normal and stressed conditions

  • Projecting/analyzing impact to capital adequacy under “what-if” scenarios to facilitate determination of planned capital actions and comparative scenario analysis

  • Supporting preparation of the annual budget and strategic plan to ensure consistency with business assumptions, management targets and compliance with policy

  • Supporting capital contingency planning and resolution planning by developing/maintaining an inventory of Capital Contingency Response Options and assessing impact to capital/financial/liquidity metrics from individual and aggregate options

  • Designing/supporting solutions for interfacing capital adequacy inputs/analytics with existing capital management production capabilities for subsequent use in capital strategy, management and reporting

  • Developing/supporting analytical capabilities to facilitate quick turnaround of key analyses related to capital forecasting and strategy

  • Assisting with development of presentations, requests and documentation as necessary for submission to regulators, senior management committees, and legal-entity boards

  • Supporting preparation of the annual CCAR/DFAST and semi-annual DFAST submissions

Qualifications

  • 3 to 5 years previous experience as a Financial or Business Analyst

  • Experience with Essbase preferred

  • Strong background in financial analysis

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

  • Detail-focused, self-starter with ability to work through issues and escalate when appropriate

  • Knowledge of regulatory capital, CCAR and DFAST requirements preferred

Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials:

  • Bachelors Degree required

  • Masters Degree preferred
