We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized administrator to manage a variety of administrative and human resources functions within our College. This role is essential for ensuring the smooth operation of payroll processes, staff onboarding and offboarding, casual and temporary employee management, and general administrative support. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with strong communication skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management:
Oversee the weekly payroll process for approximately 300 staff members and 400 students.
Ensure hours are accurately recorded and approved in Business Link and SAP systems.
Coordinate with departments for additional or overtime hours and budget allocations.
Manage timesheet data in the absence of supervisors and serve as a backup for hiring and terminations.
Onboarding & Offboarding:
Collaborate with the CAS Director and Assistant Director of HR Administration to facilitate staff onboarding and offboarding processes.
Support monthly new hire sessions, manage HR communication, handle inquiries through designated inboxes, and oversee special HR projects.
Temps/Casual Hires:
- Manage the hiring and termination processes for casual and temporary employees across the College, including specific needs for temporary actors in the Playwrights Theatre department, and address I-9 issues with HR.
Administrative Duties: Oversee office supplies, handle conference room reservations, process cash credit vouchers, and ensure timely deposits. Maintain administrative and personnel lists, manage the CAS SharePoint site, and act as the primary contact for building maintenance emergencies at designated campus locations.
Student Management: Supervise student employees in the CAS Business Office, ensuring effective front desk coverage and management of administrative tasks. Provide backup support at the front desk when necessary and handle other duties as assigned.
Required Skills
Bachelor's degree and 2 years of experience.
Experience in payroll management, SAP, HR administration, or related fields.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
