SHI Business Development Manager - Field in Boston, Massachusetts

Job Summary

SHI has a dynamic career opportunity in our Enterprise department supporting a top account executive in their growing book of business.

If you are looking for a challenging and financially rewarding career in sales, the BDM position might be of interest to you. This position plays an integral part in growing our Accounts at SHI. With our ongoing training, the BDM will be able to offer in-depth customer technology solutions across a wide variety of IT products and services to existing customers and grow partner relationships.

This position is working with a senior SHI Account Executives on existing accounts in the Enterprise segment. Candidate will work side by side with an account executive and inside sales account manager to grow business in existing accounts.

Responsibilities

Include, but not limited to:

  • Provide consultation to customers regarding their IT solutions needs to uncover new sales opportunities

  • Proactively work with and customer contacts to build SHI’s market share in all accounts designate

  • Understanding of and ability to effectively communicate and develop demand for SHI Services including configuration services, warranty services, disposal services, etc.

  • Develop partnerships with Vendor Field Sales Representatives and optimize the joint selling opportunities within the territory

  • Develop solid business relationships within the various decision-makers and influencers at all levels at each target account

  • Onsite customer visits will be required

  • Understand customer’s business model, map their organization and identify their unique technology needs

  • Develop, document and execute account sales plans

  • Build customer loyalty & trust

  • Meeting sales goal targets (Revenue & GM)

  • Expanding the relationship with existing clients

  • Will work with Account Executives, Inside Sales Account Managers, SHI Operations, and Advanced Solutions

  • Provide oversight and guidance on daily operations across customer – Logistics, escalations, project prioritization, status updates, etc.

  • Provide ongoing guidance and direction to ISAM team

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited 4-year college

  • Minimum 2 year sales experience

  • Prior experience with IT hardware, software and/or service sales

Required Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency in MS Office tools - Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Experience with prospecting and cold calling

  • Must have business professional appearance

  • Working experience and knowledge with Salescenter, BI, Power BI, & CRM

  • Extensive knowledge of distribution and manufacturer programs is essential for success

  • Hardware and software program knowledge

Preferred Skills:

  • Extensive experience with Excel and PowerpointKnowledge of how to data mine Linkedin for information

Additional Information

  • The estimated annual pay range for this position is $150,000 - $250,000 which includes a base salary and commissions. The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual. Benefits may include, but are not limited to, medical, vision, dental, 401K, and flexible spending.
