Discover Impactful Work:

The Life Sciences Group of Thermo Fisher is looking for a Business Analyst to assist in day to day activities and special projects pertaining to our CRM system and reporting tools. As a member of the Global Commercial Platforms team, you will collaborate with many diverse levels of the organization including Sales, Service, and key areas of Commercial Operations. We are looking for someone passionate about supporting new business initiatives as a Product Owner, developing tools and analytics to support day-to-day activities, and running ad-hoc and project level system analytics.

A day in the Life:

As a BA, you will supervise user access to Sales Platforms and manage Level 2 issues and customer concerns with direct partnership with IT functions.

Assist in documenting and implementing opportunities for Platform enhancement & process improvement.

Designing of advanced SQL queries will be required to capture appropriate data for analysis across business users. You will be responsible for drafting and presenting requirements from the business, designing report specifications, and reconciling changes based on business projects and system developments.

Communicating effectively with multi-functional teams, translating business requirements into IT processes, and providing support to the internal year end project.

Keys to Success:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Technology, Information Systems, or Business Administration.

Experience

  • 2+ years of data, sales operations, business, or financial analysis experience

  • Advanced SQL skills and relational database experience required.

  • 2+ years experience with Business Intelligence applications such as Cognos or AWS (Amazon Web Services™) SQL Server required.

  • Experience with CRM applications such as Salesforce required.

  • Project management experience is a plus.

Knowledge, Skill, Abilities

  • Advanced skills in MS Office Applications: Excel, Power BI/Tableau.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, multi-task, and maintain focus on the goals at hand.

  • Understanding of Sales Operations roles and workflow.

  • Maintain professional composure in a dynamic work environment.
