Humana Brand Strategy Lead in Boston, Massachusetts

Description

The goal of the Brand Strategy and Experience team is to refine and elevate Humana's brand image and messaging, clearly articulating and reinforcing a consistent positioning around the core brand pillars. The messaging needs to extend the brand story to all segments and lines of business. In addition, we strive to create brand clarity and consistency in actions with greatest impact on consumer/customer experience.

To that end, the Brand Strategy Lead will work with assigned consumer segments and lines of business as an expert on the brand. They will work with the business to ensure that all messaging is consistent with the Humana brand and is grounded in the things that differentiate Humana from competitors. In addition, they will determine areas of the customer experience that can be improved or pain points that can be addressed by infusing the brand strategy. They will then work to build, test and implement these improvements.

Responsibilities

The Brand Strategy Lead will:

  • Liaise with internal departments and external agencies to ensure full communication and success of marketing plans that support the overall brand

  • Contribute to creativity of product packaging, presentation, and promotional activities

  • Partner closely with internal and external agencies to ensure strategy translates into exceptional creative

  • Constantly monitor brand metrics of business lines and products to ensure they meet organization objectives and drive brand meaning

  • Work on naming and brand architecture projects as needed

  • Develop strong understanding of business and relationships with business leaders

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communications or relevant field

  • 8+ years of Marketing experience

  • 4+ years of Brand Management

  • Progressive experience in Marketing, Advertising or Customer Experience

  • Experience using Marketing Analytics to drive strategy

  • Proven project management experience

  • Excellent relationship building skills

  • Proficient in all Microsoft programs

  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

  • Must have accessibility to high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office (satellite internet service is NOT allowed for this role); and a minimum internet connection speed of 10M x 1M

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA

  • Prior health insurance industry experience

  • Financial services industry

  • Brand experience
