Description

We have a great opportunity available for a Bookkeeper with a background in accounting. A long-term contract / temporary position, this Bookkeeper role would be located in the Boston, Massachusetts region. Robert Half is on the lookout for an organized, efficient Bookkeeper to join the efforts of a growing firm in the Non-Profit industry. If you have experience with AP and AR, then this may be the right Bookkeeper role for you.

Your responsibilities

• Conduct and manage the general ledger

• Support accounts by verifying, allocating, and posting transactions

• Examine payments received and record deposits

• Put together financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information

• Look after archived records by categorizing documents

• Monitor accounts by balancing entries

• Organize a structured method to account for financial transactions by establishing a chart of accounts; define bookkeeping policies and procedures

  Requirements

• Expertise in Accounts Payable (AP)

• Solid understanding of bookkeeping

• QuickBooks experience preferred

• Accounts Receivable (AR) experience

• 1+ years of previous experience as a Bookkeeper

• BS Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration preferred

• Prior experience using accounting software
