Boston University ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, ACADEMIC SUCCESS & SPECIAL PROGRAMS, Questrom School of Business, Undergraduate Development Center in BOSTON, Massachusetts

The Associate Director, Academic Success & Special Programs, works in collaboration with the Director of Academic Advising & Student Services to manage academic advising within the Questrom School of Business Undergraduate Development Center (UDC). They oversee advising for student persistence and success, and niche program activities, including with regard to the academic policies and procedures, student advising concerns and initiatives, and core administrative processes. They directly supervise a professional staff of two Assistant Directors, including providing oversights for data-driven advising strategy for at-risk student performance. As a member of the department leadership team, they review formal part-time requests and manage the pass/fail process, coordinate the review and support of students returning from Leaves of Absence and medical emergencies, and manage tracking and intervention efforts related to students considering transfer outside of Questrom.

Required Skills

Masters Degree required.

  • ability to drive innovative thinking, strong emotional intelligence, and three to five years of previous experience in industry or higher education career services or related

  • Remote work up to two days per week is offered throughout the calendar year
