State of Massachusetts Applied Behavior Analysis Technical Assistance Specialist in Boston, Massachusetts

This position provides Technical Assistance to all contracted Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Specialty Service Providers. The incumbent is credentialed as a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and a Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst (Massachusetts) with experience in the delivery of home-based early intensive behavioral intervention. The incumbent will provide technical assistance to contracted providers and serve as a subject matter expert for division staff, contracted providers, and community stakeholders. The incumbent serves as the primary liaison between the Division and assigned contracted providers and is responsible for the development and implementation of data-based monitoring, evaluation, and quality improvement plans. The incumbent has excellent written and spoken communication skills. * /Duties and Responsibilities (these are a general summary and not all inclusive): /* * Provides technical assistance to ABA Specialty Service Providers related to federal and state requirements * Providers technical assistance to ABA Specialty Service Providers related to effective interventions that are supported by peer-reviewed research * Establishes annual training requirements for contracted ABA Specialty Service Providers * Develops and delivers training, workshops, and conference presentations as assigned * Collects data on assigned key performance indicators * Prepares reports on provider performance as assigned * Leads Community of Practice for ABA Specialty Service Providers * Supports performance evaluations of ABA Specialty Service Providers and Early Intervention Service programs * Consulted on development of monitoring requirements and procedural development for Early Intervention Service programs /*Required Qualifications:* / * Skilled at analyzing data, draw conclusions, and make appropriate recommendations * Ability to establish rapport with others * Capacity to to adjust to varying or changing situations to meet emergency or changing program needs */Preferred Qualifications: /* * Extensive knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis and experience delivering Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention * Credentialed as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) * Credentialed as a Licensed Applied Behavior Analyst (either in Massachusetts or other state) * Experience developing and leading trainings or giving professional presentations * Knowledge of Organizational Behavior Management * Experience using APA Style for writing and presentations * Knowledge of BACB’s Supervisor Training Curriculum * Strong knowledge of Early Intervention Mission, Core Values, and Operational Standards * Knowledge of IDEA Part C _Agency Mission:_ The mission of the Massachusetts Department of Public Health (DPH) is to prevent illness, injury, and premature death, to assure access to high quality public health and health care services, and to promote wellness and health equity for all people in the Commonwealth.
